Senior Bookkeeper

The senior bookkeeper's role is front-facing to the client and management of junior bookkeepers on the backend.

They are in charge of getting the books prepped, tax-ready, and helping our clients with any issues or questions that arise.

Experience

• 5 years of experience with face-to-face client interaction
• 3 years of management

License Requirements

• Accounting related degree preferable, but not required
• QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification is a plus

Software Experience

• QuickBooks
• Google Docs
• Intermediate Excel

Knowledge

• Strong understanding of how transactions flow in and out of the balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements
• Understanding of different accounts for different types of business entities (e.g. different types of equity accounts)
• Basic understanding of how sales tax and business property taxes work

Accountability

• Responsible for their own client list and keeps financials consistently updated
• Interface directly with clients regarding info needed for bookkeeping
• Review junior bookkeeper's work
• Analyze financials (e.g. ROI reports, cost analysis)
• Review financials with client and answer and fulfill client requests
